As part of the QIS crew you will get the opportunity to participate in the running of the events and learn about how everything works.

 

Whats great about crewing at a QIS event is that you will be able to gain a lot of information from the speakers on stage for free! You get to meet some great people and build on your teambuilding skills by working with a highly motivated team!

Not only that, crewing for a QIS event will allow you to contribute back to the community and create positive change in the lives of thousands of people.

 

 

Within the crew members we have tasks which everyone on the crew, no matter what your specialist is will participate in. 

Please be aware of the following tasks and be sure you are willing to contribute and participate before you apply for a member of our team.

 

 

  • Registration of participants

  • ushering of participants between lunch and breaks

  • helping to keep energy levels high

  • Dancing and follow the leader

  • Handing out information

  • partipating in crew meetings

  • Make sure particpants needs are being met

  • taking care of self and looking after other crew members

 

Registration Table

 

 

 

 

The Registration table is usually one of the first point of contacts between participants and the crew. Its important that every participant is greeted in a friendly manner. The role of the crew at the registration table is to help participants feel welcome and give them certainty that they are in the right place.

 

If you are working on the registration table then your main duties will include the following:

 

  • Make sure participants paper work and forms are filled out properly

  • Answer any questions that participants may have - making sure that all queries are answered is very important. Your role is to ensure that the participants feel comfortable from the first point of contact.

 

Qualities which we are looking for:

There are certain skills which would be useful for a position at the registration table, we require someone who is out-going and sociable, someone who has a positive outlook in live who is cheerful. The ability to build rapport and to attend to peoples needs are also important. We require someone who has good organisational skills who has good English speaking proficiency.

 

 

Sales Table

 

 

 

 

If you like sales, have a positive personality, enjoy meeting and speaking to different people then this is definitely the opportunity for you. Our sales table will allow you to mix with people and do something you are passionate about. The sales team needs a strong committed core group ready to work at the front lines. There is a training session prior the day before the seminar kicks off so that the sales team can understand why products are developed, what the products are and how to speak to participants.

 

To successfully run the sales table, no prior sales training is required as basic training will be provided before the event, however, the following skill set would be useful to have: 

 

  • Ability to run credit card transactions and prior knowledge of running credit card transactions

  • Ability to fill out invoices

  • Ability to use a calculator

  • Good, clear and precise communication skills

  • Ability to use a brochure

  • Have a good understanding of the various events packages

  • Have good customer service skills

 

As part of the sales team you will be expected to be here during the mornings, breaks, lunch and dinner and also closing time when people are out of the room.

 

People who work the hardest at the booth are rewarded.

 

Customer Service

 

 

 

 

If you enjoy serving others, have a passion to contribute beyond yourself and a strong beleif in Health Wealth and Happiness then the customer service team is where you want to be. 

The aim of customer service is for our participants to come away from our events as a raving fan, we want them to know we are here for their every need.

 

We do our best to accommodate their needs and make sure that they are heard.

 

Our customer service team will handle things such as the following:

 

  • Late registration

  • Walk ins

  • Lost names

  • Lost property

  • Money back guarantees

 

Customer service crew members will need to be at the doors before and after everyone leaves and will stay behind after the sessions finish for approximately 30 minutes.

 

The crew will be split into 2 teams and will work in 2 shifts, one during the day and the other during the evening. The 2 shifts will be determined the day prior to the seminar.

There will be a short induction and training session provided for those who are part of the customer service team the night before the seminar is open to the public.

 

Although you dont have to be experienced to be a member of our crew, a little customer service experience would be great!

 

Qualities which we are looking for:

We are looking for loyal, reliable and trustworthy team members who are respectful and enthusiastic. We would like our customer service team to be able to demonstrate compassion and love and be able to remain non-judgemental in any given situation.

 

A willingness to learn and to work as a team is a must.

 

 

 

Microphone Runner/Activity Facilitator

 

 

 

 

 

Microphone runners and activity facilitators are important members of the crew team. They support the speaker on stage by getting to participants so that they are able to interact with the speaker on stage and also help to facilitate the activities and exercises that will be held during the seminar.  Previous experience is not necessary as briefing will be provided prior to the event.

 

Qualities that we are looking for:

In order to be a microphone runner/ activity facilitator it is important that you have good mobility as there will be a lot of running around involved. It is important that you have a good level of physical fitness and be able to run fast and have the ability to multi task. You will need to be able to be discreet be energetic and enthusiastic and be able to keep a positive attitude during the day.

 

Door Greeters/Ushers

 

 

 

As a door greeter/Usher it is important that you are positive and energetic throughout the day. You are responsible for meeting and greeting the participants each time they enter the room. You will be looking for wristbands or badges and should be on alert and aware or anything that looks suspicious.

 

You will also be in charge of crowd control outside the door and will act as the point of information to people who are waiting to gain access to the event. The ability to understand the needs of the participants is important.

Once everyone has been shown back into the room you will be responsible for making sure that participants get back to their seats and are sitting in the correct areas.

 

You will be the point of contact should any participant fall ill or require any medical attention or anything else during the event, should anyone fall ill your role is to contact the medical team immediately and make sure that if possible you deal wit the situation discreetly and quietly.

 

Should anyone want to leave the room, you should show them out and make sure that the doors are closed quietly behind them. In the event of an emergency, you will also act as the fire marshall and will be in charge of leading the participants out to safety.

 

A briefing will be given before the event to alert the team as to where the nearest fire exits and what the fire procedures are during the event.

 

Qualities we are looking for:

As a door greeter/usher you will need to be a highly energetic and motivated individual, we require someone who is friendly and sociable who is able to multi task. Being able to hold good eye contact, sincerity and patience within this role is a must. As you will be required to stand for long periods of time, a good level of physical health and fitness would be a prerequisite to the role.

 

Basic first aid skills would be preferred although not a must, the ability to interact with people positively in a friendly manner would be useful within this role. We also require someone who has good communication skills and is organised.

 

 

Stage Helper

 

 

 

As a stage helper your main role is to make sure that no one is on stage that isnt supposed to be. You will be in charge of making sure that appropriate people are back of stage and that there are no people in places there they shouldnt be.

You will be in charge of getting refreshments such as water for the stage and also getting the props ready for the stage.

Your other roles include making sure that everyone on stage is tidy and looks the way it is supposed to.

 

Qualities we are looking for:

We require someone who has good agility and response. Someone who has the ability to improvise and think on their feet. Organisational skills are a must.

 

 

Handouts

 

 

 

You will be working very closely with the productions team on what handouts will be required at certain times of the event. handouts will be prepared in advance but must be kept in the correct working order, if there are different hand outs for VIP and Normal seating then these must be differentiated.

 

Working on handouts you must understand the content and the goal behind the hand outs. You must make sure that there are enough handouts for every attendee and that every attendee gets a handout during the handout times.

 

During the morning prior to the start of the event the productions team will work out approximately what time the handouts will be required. You will need to help with the organising of the handout rota and distributing the handouts to the ushers for handing out to participants.

 

Every batch of handouts that are given out must be signed for by the ushers and a record of this must be kept and retained in an organised fashion.

 

Qualities we are looking for:

We are looking for someone very organised who pays attention to detail. You have to be able to take charge and get the job done. Basic administration skills would be useful.

 

Multi-lingual Staff

 

 

 

 

 

We require team members who are able to translate forms, questionnaires, waiver forms, and also translate for the customer service and products team.

Qualities we look for:

The content of our seminars is very important and requires a high level of translation, we require our multi-lingual staff to demonstrate their language proficiency before we are able to take you on board.

 

 

AV Support/Video Logger/Photographer

 

 

 

 

We keep a record of all our events so that we can constantly improve on what we are doing. We require AV and photography personnel to help us with this process. It is important to have the skills to be able to record the whole process and be able keep a good record.
