According to human needs psychology everyone has the need to contribute and everyone has the need to grow. I’m sure many of you out there have had a goal or a dream once in your lifetime and when you got to your dream and you found out it wasn’t what you hoped it would be.

Well that's exactly what happened to me. What I realized throughout my lifetime is that I always had a dream to have a nice house and have a nice car, and then I got there at a very young age. That was the point where I felt most lost and depressed and I didn’t know what I wanted anymore. I lost a purpose and then there was 3 years of my life where I didn’t do anything. I stayed the same.

A lot of the time when we reach a target that we have been working so hard for and we get there, then suddenly you feel like there is nothing left to achieve and no more purpose, what am I supposed to do next? What is the point?

That’s why you have so many people out there on their journey to success who start acquiring some life skills that they have been aiming for, and then they become stagnant in their growth and then they may even start shifting down.

With my fascination with people over the years, what I have found is that the very successful people out there contribute a lot whether its in charity work or whether its in inspiring and teaching people or even working on big projects towards sustainability and global warming.

I found that when people contribute to a bigger cause, with a bigger purpose, it gives them a constant drive to work harder, to contribute further, which gives them an even bigger drive to succeed.

Why is it that the very successful people out there, like Bill and Melinda Gates  whose foundation contribute billions of dollars every year towards various causes, from education to world health seem to be constantly getting richer and richer? People like Sir Richard Brandon,  and his Virgin Unite foundation contributing Millions of pounds every year to various projects, again are constantly getting more and more successful.

What a lot of people don’t understand and a lot of people are cynical and say it’s a publicity stunt, however charity or contribution is something that gives you the biggest constant emotional drive that never ends. If your doing the right charity work!

Work towards doing the right charity work and you too can have this emotional drive that wakes you up in the mornings.
